Learning Objectives

  • To describe common sensory and vestibular impairments following traumatic brain injury.
  • To understand the ascending sensory tracts and how this relates to an individual with a traumatic brain injury.
  • To recognise how sensory impairments impact rehabilitation and daily function.
  • To identify appropriate assessment strategies for sensory impairments.
  • To discuss rehabilitation approaches to improve sensory integration and function.

APIL Accredited and will carry 1 CPD hour.
