Chris Bryant Meets Neuro Navigators

South East London Neuro Navigation Service hosted a successful meeting between the Pan London Neuro Navigator Network and Chris Bryant MP last month. There was Neuro Navigator representation from different regions within London and the surrounding counties.

Discussions took place regarding the Major Trauma and Neuro Rehabilitation Pathways in and around the London region, as well as repatriation from the tertiary centres and community rehabilitation services. It was discussed that there are still significant challenges and inconsistencies with Community Neurorehabilitation provision between boroughs and regions.

Patient examples emphasised the outcomes of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) report on Acquired Brain Injury; the need for investment in Neurorehabilitation, and the co-ordination required between departments such as education and the welfare benefits system.

Chris shared with the group the future priorities for the APPG and encouraged them to use those case examples and engage with our their representatives in Parliament.
