General Election 2019
A General Election will take place in the UK on 12th December 2019.   UKABIF has requested that all the main parties include a statement about neurorehabilitation in their manifestos. UKABIF would like them to recognise and take neurorehabilitation seriously as a discipline that can not only save billions of pounds but which can transform the lives of the hundreds of thousands of people each year who have an acquired brain injury.
We need to ensure that our MPs are aware of this. We are therefore asking you, either as an individual, as part of your organisation, or as both, to write to your local parliamentary candidates including our policy pledge, asking for their support in this matter. You can find our policy pledge here
We have drafted a template letter for you to use - please click here to view the letter. You can of course adapt the letter but please make sure you include your full name and address.
Please ask your MP or candidate for a personal commitment to this agenda if elected. The letter will be stronger if you can include some local information about your situation or services.
UKABIF has been working successfully within Parliament for the past few years but the General Election gives us an opportunity to reach even more MPs and ministers with our concerns. Please do let your MP know how much of a difference neurorehabilitation can make.
