The Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust serves the population of Greater Manchester. The centre has over 150 in-patient beds with sub-specialities of Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Acute Neurology, Stroke Services (Acute and Rehabilitation), Programme Investigation Unit, and Acute Intensive Neuro – Rehabilitation.

1st Post: The Maples unit cares for patients with long term complex neurological care needs. It also offers slow stream rehabilitation and some respite care. The unit is currently involved with some ground breaking communication work being undertaken with our learning disability colleagues. Our aim is to be a centre of excellence in this field.

2nd Post We are about to embark on an exciting new venture and expand our services with the opening of a further Neuro-rehabilitation unit.
Applications are invited for the above post which will be within a new unit developing a new team.
The post holder will be required to have extensive post registration experience. This post requires an enthusiastic committed individual to enable the development of this exciting venture. Applicants will demonstrate

• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and leadership skills;
• How to inspire, motivate and influence patients and colleagues at all levels;
• Although not essential Ideally have neurological, neurosurgical experience and an interest in the neuro rehabilitation speciality
• Be able to work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team and all members of the MDT.
• You will have the skills to inspire the whole team in the development of the unit and development of new pathways of care.
