PATIENT AND CUSTOMER FOCUS, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPECT

OUR SHARED VALUES WITH ONE AIM – SUCCESS

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, a large University of Manchester Teaching Trust is highly regarded by patients, other NHS Trusts and independent organisations.

Would you like to join a progressive, successful organisation, which has recently been visited by the Prime Minister who commented: “Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has an excellent track record in nursing care and is leading the way for hospitals across the country”?

We are about to embark on an exciting new venture. From 1st April 2012 the Trust will become one of three organisations in Greater Manchester designated as a Major Trauma Centre. Therefore we are expanding our bed base and nursing establishment to accommodate a new 30 bed ward, a Trauma Assessment Unit which will also have some beds for intermediate rehabilitation.

You will provide specialist advice to support assessment, planning and implementation of care, a part of the team responsible for programmes of rehabilitation for patients who have sustained Major Trauma and are admitted to Salford Royal. You will facilitate transfer to an appropriate setting in a timely manner, where the prescribed programme of care can be delivered. You will be accountable for your own professional actions and not be directly supervised. You will have specialist knowledge and expertise in the rehabilitation of patients who have sustained major trauma, including the rehabilitation of patients with head injury, spinal cord injury and other neurological injuries.

We invite Qualified Nurses/AHP’s to apply who:

• Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills;

• Inspire, motivate and influence colleagues at all levels;
• Have a thirst to be at the forefront of shaping and developing a cutting edge service;
• Ideally have neurological, orthopaedic, A&E, or critical care experience
