The centre provides a person-centred inpatient rehabilitation and care for male and female adolescents and adults (over 17 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological condition.
Throughout their stay with us, our patients are encouraged to make individual choices about all aspects of life at the centre and to be as independent as possible.
The centre is located in South East London close to Blackheath and Lewisham, directly on the A2 with Greenwich, Lewisham and Blackheath stations all close by.
This exciting and dynamic role will mean you are responsible for leading the Physiotherapy Therapy Team and holding your own clinical caseload.
So as a Senior Physiotherapist what do you need to do to make this happen?

  • Be an integral member of the Physiotherapy team in the provision of high quality therapeutic activities, using a wide range of approaches to suit the patient’s varying needs
  • Encourage independence and personal choice and help to provide an environment which is conducive to patients with varied and complex needs realizing their potential to live as independently as they can find possible
  • Ensure that you provide evidence-based practice and are outcome focussed
  • Communicate and liaise effectively within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure that the team’s skill and knowledge levels are able to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Take an active role in the development of personal professional development and other staff
  • Continually strive for clinical excellence whilst retaining integrity and technical skill and competence

Requirements and Benefits
In order to achieve this Senior Physiotherapists should have:

  • Experience in this specialist clinical area.
  • Experience of supporting and supervising junior staff
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Initiative and creativity.
  • Have a minimum BSC or recognised postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
