Occupational Therapy Assistant Post – Band 2 -full time
We are looking for a motivated individual with good communication and organisational skills to work with adult patients in the Occupational Therapy department of the neurological rehabilitation service.
The post involves working closely with staff in a small, friendly team to help adults with strokes and head injuries to regain their independence and quality of life with their everyday activities. The post holders will work under the direction of occupational therapists. The post is interesting and varied. Duties will include assisting patients with daily activities such as washing and dressing, cooking, leisure activities, administrative tasks and some cleaning of equipment and wheelchairs. The post holder will have experience of working in a physical healthcare setting as an assistant, carer or student practitioner.
Training, support and regular supervision would be provided.
