Job Information

Hours of Work:  37.5 hours per week. The post holder can expect to work some evenings and weekends when required as commensurate with a senior leadership role.

Demonstrable leadership ability: Proven track record in leading and developing services, enthusing and motivating a small team to deliver big results.
 
Working knowledge of the voluntary / charity sector: Insight and ideally work experience of the third sector and the governance it involves.
 
Developing & managing services/ organisation: Accomplished in developing and delivering to plan. Ability in capacity building and service review.
 
Experience or Knowledge of working with people with disabilities: An understanding of relevant vulnerable groups and experience of working collaboratively with beneficiaries as well as wider stakeholders. Ability to empathise with those impacted by life-changing disabilities.
 
Influence: Highly accomplished and persuasive with a proven track record of influencing key opinion leaders, decision makers and funders and of securing funding and successful bidding in tough circumstances.
 
Communicate: Outstanding representational and communication skills with the know how to represent the Charity – both orally and in writing – and the ability to build a strong brand.
 
Decisions: Solves problems and generates solutions and makes clear, timely decisions.
 
Driven: Resilient, self-motivated and tenacious, not afraid to take the initiative and with a healthy appetite for risk and the ability to work successfully under pressure.
 
Plan: Determine strategies to move the Charity forward, set goals, priorities and monitor progress.
 
Knowledge: Of the sector along with an awareness and understanding of the political environment.
