Enhancing rehabilitation: technical, surgical and peer group support for neurorehabilitation of brain or spinal injuries.
July 6, 2017N/A
This one day conference is aimed at all those who work with adults who are recovering from injury to the brain or spine through trauma or disease.
We will be looking at ways to enhance the rehabilitation of these patients. Areas to be covered will include technical aids covering a range of devices from those used to ensure safety or enable activities of daily living to mechanical devices that may be needed to support ventilation, surgical techniques that may aid recovery, and peer support and other ways to improve the well-being of those who have been injured.
The conference is of relevance to doctors, therapists, nurses and psychologists, as well as social workers, commissioners, case managers and lawyers who want to ensure that patients they are responsible for get all the help and support they need.
Case vignettes will be used where relevant.
