‘The Impact Of Acquired Brain Injury On Children, Young Adults And Their Families: Multiple Perspectives’ (POSTPONED UNTIL 2015)

The FREE training seminar will examine a range of issues including: • The effects of brain injury on the individual • Parenting a child with brain injury. • The impact and trauma on the family. • Education issues. • Assessment, treatment and support.

Speakers will include:

Louise Wilkinson, Information and Learning Manager at Child Brain Injury Trust.

Dr Ailsa Smith, Consultant Clinical & Neuropsychologist with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust & Recolo UK Ltd.

Charlotte Foxton, Neurological Physiotherapist at Physiofunction.

Maureen Le Marinel, family member and member of National Executive Committee of UNISON. An individual who suffered acquired brain injury as a child.

The seminar is aimed at Case Managers, Health Professionals, Social Workers, Lawyers, Volunteers, Family Members and individuals with an interest in acquired brain injury in children and young adults.
