What is East Midlands Acquired Brain Injury Forum (EMABIF) ?
EMABIF is a forum of representatives of services for people with Acquired Brain Injury in the East Midlands which seeks to raise public and professional awareness of acquired brain injury, and to improve standards of care currently on offer to clients/patients/residents within the East Midlands. In order to achieve this, it aims to help improve communication between professionals and all stakeholders and, in turn, promote a culture of collaborative working.
The Forum provides an opportunity to:
- Develop awareness and understanding of current brain injury services.
- Proactively promote education and training for those concerned with Acquired Brain Injury.
- Be a forum for discussion, consultation and collaboration between the community, the health service, social services, voluntary organisations and the private sector on the development and commissioning of services in the field of ABI.
- Work alongside other networks concerned with ABI.
