UKABIF Chair, Professor Mike Barnes running to raise money for better brain injury services

On Sunday 13 September 2015, Professor Mike Barnes, Chair of UKABIF and Consultant Neurologist and Group Clinical Director at Christchurch Group will join runners for the 13.1 mile 2015 Morrison’s Great North Run 2015.

Raising money for UKABIF, the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum, Professor Barnes is on track to raise £500 for the charity which campaigns for improved rehabilitation services and support for people with acquired brain injuries.

Professor Barnes said, ‘I’m passionate about improving access to brain injury rehabilitation in the UK and looking forward to Sunday’s half marathon. I’m currently training to run the New York Marathon and Antarctic Ice Marathon in 2016, as well as next year’s Great North Run.’
