UKABIF continues to highlight the issues surrounding the care and service provision for people with acquired brain injury.

Over one million people live in the UK with the effects of acquired brain injury at an estimated minimum cost of £4.1 billion.  Professor Lynne Turner-Stokes, President of the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine was recently quoted as saying that ‘Specialist rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological disability would save the NHS money’.
