The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) held a sell out 15th ‘APIL Annual Charity Golf Day’ at the famous ‘Twenty Ten Course’ at the stunning Celtic Manor Resort near Newport, South Wales. The day dawned with thick fog but this cleared in time for the shot gun start at 10.30 and for most of the day the sun shone. The course was built for the Ryder Cup in 2010 and certainly put the teams through their paces. All returned slightly sun kissed in time for well-earned fish and chips at the bar. 22 teams took part on the day – the best team was awarded to Compass Law (team 1) and the best player was Andy Scott. Anthony Berry achieved the longest drive and Howard Davies was nearest the pin.. Over £1000 was raised on the day for UKABIF. Many thanks to Ted Parsons, Deborah Evans and Kathryn Scott of APIL as well as all the players.
